A small remote-controlled car creeps stealthily around a corner. An infrared camera installed in its body transmits eerie images to a secret agent wearing a specialized headset with a screen built in to the eyepiece… introducing the Spy Video Car.
Because plain-sight video monitors are not acceptable in the spy world, you'll need the one-of-a-kind private screen of the Spy Video Car to keep your secrets safe from enemy eyes. Wear the lightweight frames with the single LCD lens to ensure you're the only one who views the video transmitted through your RC vehicle. Adjust the camera angle on the wireless spy car and send it on secret missions using the hand-held remote control. Observe the journey and the destination through the small screen attached to your headset. From the safety of your spy headquarters, watch what's going on wherever your video vehicle travels, indoors and out, up to 75 feet away. 90 day limited warranty. The ultimate spy rover is here!

I once saw on one of those "Weapons of the Future" shows that police are starting to use a remote-controlled car fast enough to speed under any moving vehicle and somehow disable its engine. I can't seem to find anything about it online, but I imagine it might have something to do with EMP.
Anyone know about/heard of this?
I've seen that on television too. It was several years ago that I remember seeing it. It was an experimental thing. It wasn't anything that was ever put into production, as far as I know. And yes, it used an electrical charge to disable the electronic ignition of the fleeing vehicle. It was a small wheeled apparatus that connected with wires to the pursuing vehicle. It was launched from the pursuing vehicle and driven under the fleeing vehicle. Then the electrical pulse was applied to disable the fleeing vehicle.
I found a web page that describes a patent for this type of device.
Edit: I also found a page describing a prototype system which would use a pulse of microwave energy to stop fleeing vehicles. It is made by Eureka Aerospace in Pasadena, California.

remember there was this kind of hype for those cars that you could build and take parts away and stuff and you could also race them. they would use real fuel and stuff like that. Does anyone remember them? they were quite a big hype, i loved the hummer, unfortunately they broke into my house and it was smashed….
if anyone can remember the name of those i'd greatly appreciate it because i really want to get one for the old memories sake.
thanx ^^

remote control cars whats better Electric or nitro? i would like to know what you think is better for circut and drag i have a nitro and i think is better for drag and can be better for circut but i wont to no what you think
Nitro cars used to be the very quickest, pushing speeds of 50mph, with electric being the begginers arena. However, with the emergance of brushless systems thats no longer the case. The new traxxas e-revo brushless boasts speeds of upto 65 mph and ive seen other companies boast higher. Brushless systems are much quicker to accelerate, as while they don't develope as much torque as nitro cars, they are very very much lighter. However, brushless are electric, running on batteries and all that entails. However, the new LiPo batteries are crazed, lasting for half an hour (with a good battery), just as long as a tank of nitro fuel. There is also much less of a degrade in performance as the battery runs down. In the end, instead of slowly creaping to a halt, they simply stop when the voltage gets too low. Though, with brushless being a new technology, its still quite pricy. That said, its still not alot more expensive than its nitro counterparts, and a whole lot easier to maintain. The RC world speed record is now owned by a brushless setup, and as these cars become more prevalent i think we'l see some very seroius competition to nitro.
