I am hoping to get a rc truck and have no idea what to get : electric or nitro
which is best out of
Scale
Run time
Price
Durability
And which is best at off roading
I have an hpi savage x 4.6cc 1/8th scale and abused it over 2 years on car parks to rocky building sites with minimal spares required and depending on your price range you can get basic savage with 21 engine to savage xl with 3 gears and think it has 6cc engine or something like that all of them have roto start so easy to get running can take a crash and 9 out of 10 times be ok you gan even upgrade to be same as the faster models and used ones on ebay etc sometimes go quite cheap so I'd say that's the best place to start also would highly advise nitro for off road you can run them long as you want the electric trucks need allot of upkeep and are expensive to get fast ones and if you have lipo batteries they can explode in flames if not used correctly like short circuit or deep discharge

So earlier today I was playing with my remote control car with my neighbor. When she left, I turned it off. So just about 5 minutes ago, I switched on the TV so I could watch the Simpsons, and when I pressed the guide button, my RC car moved. At first, I thought that something weird was going on, but when I pressed the guide button again, the RC car moved again. I quickly realized that the TV remote was controlling my car. It wasn't shut off properly, but how was the TV remote controlling my car?
Remotes send a specific signal [ MHz and GHz ]. So lets say the RC Remote is 1 GHz, And the TV Remote is also 1 GHz. If you press a button on the remote, It will send the 1 GHz signal around, and since the RC Car reacts to 1 GHz Signals, It moves. Some old telephones can also have some problems. You could be talking, And some one pushes the button on the remote, and you hear static. It has to be the same frequency though.
